Construction: The Nuts and Bolts Phase

construction-plan-review.jpg aving accomplished all the previous detail planning and scheduling, this phase puts it all together for you with deconstruction if necessary, all the trades operating in concert, finishing the detail, install new fixtures and appliances if necessary, and obtaining regulatory approvals:
  1. Establish central command point to resolve immediate issues and client change requests
  2. Ensure property protection if needed
  3. Schedule trades as needed
  4. Conduct weekly progress meetings

  6. Take project progress photos
  7. Notify all effected parties of schedule changes
  8. Ensure site safety, cleanliness and sanitation on an ongoing basis
  9. Schedule regular refuse pickup
  10. Schedule required inspections as needed
  11. Continuously monitor work quality
  12. Schedule electricity and accessory walkhrough
  13. Notify client of utility interruptions
  14. Coordinate with decorator as needed
  15. Process client change orders
  16. Schedule client walkthrough
  17. Conduct final inspections
  18. Collect and organize all care and use documents
  19. Test all fixtures and appliances
  20. Conduct final cleanup
  21. Create punchlist with client on walkthrough
  22. Approve move in (if necessary)
  23. Provide complete documentation manual to client
Tear down, build up, redo, repaint, install, test, inspect, review ... all in a days work (well, more than a day actually).



Project Completion: The Anticipated Moment

  1. Conduct final walkthrough
  2. Inspect punchlist items
  3. Review and approve punchlist completion
  4. Remove our project sign
